Pollock recovering well after operation
South African cricketing legend Graeme Pollock is recovering at home after undergoing a groin operation.
The 76-year-old batting maestro, who scored 2 256 runs in 23 Tests at an average of over 60, has suffered a number of health setbacks in recent times, having also been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and colon cancer.
The medical setbacks have taken its toll financially, and a number of projects - including golf days, limited series painting by Richie Ryall, and a backabuddy page (https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/graeme-pollock) - have been set up to assist Pollock.
For now, though, the ICC Hall of Fame cricketer is recouping at his Evergreen Lifestyle Village residence in Johannesburg, with family spokesperson Roger Moult telling Netwerk24 that “his condition has improved significantly”.
