Irene Retirement Villagers Cricket Club from Northerns beat Eastern Province's Northville Cricket Club in the final of the 2023 Veterans National Club Championship at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Saturday, 2 September.
Northville Cricket Club posted a final total of 148 for six in 20 overs. Ross Gelderbloem struck 58 not out. Chris Peyper took two wickets.
Irene Retirement Villagers Cricket Club replied with 149 for three in 16.2 overs. Peyper hit 65 not out.
Peyper was the only player to feature among the tournament's top 10 run-scorers and wicket-takers.
King Cetshwayo District Cricket Club's Ashley Lombard scored the most runs in the tournament. Northville Cricket Club's Eric Gallant took the most wickets.
